
Anisha Palat
Anisha Palat is an art historian with a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. Her research explores human-animal relations, social hierarchies, and ecocritical approaches within South Asian art history and visual culture. Anisha is a Research Fellow, Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research (2025-2026). For this fellowship, she will conduct research at the Tamil Nadu State Archives in India to explore colonial-era hunting practices. Anisha is also a British Art Network Bursary Awardee 2025-26: Tate and Paul Mellon Centre. Using the funds secured from this bursary, she carried out preliminary archival research in the Cambridge South Asia Archive on colonial-era hunting photography.
